How to Make Layered Taco Dip Recipe

This easy Layered Taco Dip Recipe has seven layers of flavors. It takes no more than 10 minutes and is just the ticket for game days, parties or even snacks.

Here are a few quick tips to make this taco dip even simpler:

• If you are making this dip for a party, you can make up the flavored cream cheese the day before. Then, just let it warm for about 20 minutes before spreading on your serving platter.

• Instead of block cream cheese, try whipped cream cheese. You won’t need a mixer to blend in the taco seasoning, plus, it’s lighter and easier to spread, which also makes it a dream for dipping chips.

• Don’t bother chopping lettuce or grating cheese. Instead, use the prepackaged versions.

• Layer on the heavier ingredients first, the lighter ingredients last.

• Use lettuce as your top most layer, as it can get wilted if smushed by the other ingredients.

Taco Dip Ingredients

What I love about this dip is that it uses those things I already have in stock in my pantry and fridge, like cream cheese, black beans, tomatoes, lettuce and shredded cheese.

And, if I’m adventurous, I like to layer it even more with chopped black olives, dollops of sour cream, guacamole and even sliced jalapeños.

To Make:

Start with 8 ounces of regular cream cheese that has been allowed to come to room temperature. (Set it on the counter for 20 minutes or so.) Then, in a bowl, either hand mix or use a hand mixer to combine my very own Taco Seasoning Mix recipe.

Drain and rinse your canned black beans before spreading.

Then follow with diced tomatoes and shredded lettuce.

Finally, top all this with finely shredded cheese, chopped black olives and some more diced tomatoes.

Cooking Tip: If you have any leftovers, you can refrigerate it up to three days. But don’t be surprised if it’s gone before then.
