This recipe for Ham and Cheese Frittata is made with farm fresh eggs, hash browned potatoes, chopped ham and cheese.
Quick and Easy Ham and Cheese Frittata
I tasted my first frittata when I was dating my soon to be husband. This was a family favorite recipe and I fell in love with it. Since then, I’ve been making it for my own family, only with several time-saving changes to the original recipe.
What I love about this recipe is that there’s no need for special pans or advanced cooking methods, my easy Ham and Cheese Frittata is the perfect meal choice whether you serve it for breakfast or for a weeknight dinner.
You’ll love it too. It takes less than couple of minutes to assemble the frittata and bakes up in a jiffy.
Best of all, you can mix and match the ingredients to suit your dietary needs.
Want a meatless frittata? You bet! Just skip the meat and add as much or little vegetables as you like, for a delicious meat-free meal.
Love bacon? Add it with no problem. Just substitute the ham with your favorite cooked meat.
Make This Frittata in 5 Easy Steps
First, preheat your oven for 375 degrees F and spray your ceramic baking dish liberally with non-stick spray.
Next, crack six eggs into a glass mixing bowl and beat them until they turn a pale yellow color and pour this into prepared ceramic baking dish.
I like to use prepared hashed browned potatoes, like Simply Potatoes. Evenly distribute a handful or two over the egg mixture. You can also use finely chopped, peeled potatoes, if you’d like.
Finish by adding chopped ham and onions and topping with shredded cheese.
Then, put the frittata into the oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove and let cool for about five minutes before serving.
Slice and eat. It’s that simple!
