Start your day with a cup of coastal-inspired java with the help from Door County Coffee and Tea Company, located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
Morning doesn’t get any better than with a cup of hot joe, espresso or tea from the Door County Coffee and Tea Company, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.
Recently, my husband and I decided it was high time to get packing and set out for Wisconsin’s peninsula, Door County. It’s a trip worth taking at least once in your life, if I say so myself.
Author Note: I was not reimbursed or sponsored to try any coffee or food products at the Door County Coffee and Tea Company. All opinions expressed after consuming these delights are completely and 100% my own. Cheers!
There’s so much to do and see, but it wouldn’t be much of a vacation without a morning cup of hot coffee.
That’s where Door County Coffee comes into the picture.
A Wisconsin Peninsula Favorite: Door County Coffee and Tea Company
Established in 1993 and located off of Highway 42 and Sturgeon Bay, lies a quaint cape cod establishment that is definitely one-of-a-kind.
To be honest, I’ve wanted to visit this place for more years than I can count. So, when I had the opportunity to travel to this part of Wisconsin, I jumped at the chance to make sure I personally stopped by and took in the ENTIRE store, front to back.
Besides finding all sorts of coastal and country-themed items and foods, what I really wanted to see (and taste) was the coffee.

You see, this is one of the few places I know of that roasts their own coffee beans, grinds and brews it for folks to see firsthand.
And, the taste, well, it doesn’t get any better than this!
The magic happens at the back of the store.
The complete process for flavoring and roasting the beans is, of course, proprietary but folks can still view most of it from the storefront window.
You might not know that it takes a number of steps to create just the perfect brew, but it does.
And, considering the number of flavors and grinds that one can get to make the perfect cup of coffee, there’s too many to count.
For me, I bought an assortment which should last me for a little while.
Country Morning Blend is a rich mix of arabica beans that makes a full body coffee that is so silky smooth. I start with 1/2 cup of ground coffee for a 10 cup coffee maker. But you can alter this with a little less or a little more if you want it slightly weaker or stronger.
Hungry? They also offer mouth-watering sandwiches, pastries, chocolates and more.
And, I’d be remiss if I forgot to tout the “TEA” part of this company. You can handpick your favorite leaf varieties and flavors, too.
There are so many coffee and tea flavors to choose from and so little time to slurp them all.
Finally, did you notice that coffee cup? It’s made by another Wisconsin company, Sunset Hill Stoneware. This company’s handiwork can be found in a lot of places and now this cup graces my kitchen every morning. You can purchase your own cup via Door County Coffee’s online web store. (See link below.)
